So my dear friend Ayana told me I hadn't posted in a while, well this particular entry should be interesting to read.

I have a dream, or rather had a dream, just last night (or was it this morning?). I think I can imagine a million things that it could mean. From what I remember, I was in my parents house, in the basement and I was asleep. There was quiet as I was asleep, then all of a sudden I hear the wind blowing loudly and get up to look out the back yard (I think) and I see trees swaying in the wind and rain coming down pretty hard. Then I go upstairs to the front door and I see beyond, maybe 1/4 of a mile away, a sort of land waterspout. It was headed straight for our house! So of course I warn everyone that's in the house and I go downstairs, I remember saying a quick prayer and then anticipating the onset of the waterspout. It hit us and I heard gushing sound. I saw the house moving but didn't really feel it.

This lasted about 15 seconds. I saw a rush of water in the back yard but there was no visible damage. I then went outside the front door to assess the damage. Other houses swayed a bit, but ours seemed to be intact. Then I saw off to the distance a rippling in the ground. It was an earthquake and the ground was separating, again towards us (or is it towards ME?) I look at it, beckon my family of what was forthcoming and I think it bypassed our house (and me) and went towards my right. At this point in time I was befuddled and I believe this is when I awoke.

Now on to the interpretation as I see it. I feel like this dream is as a result some sort of turmoil in my life where I am faced with a HUGE issue and/or obstacle. I think that the fact that I (or the house) was not damaged interprets that I am avoiding and overcoming the obstacles or issues. Now i've been doing a little research after my self diagnosis and it seems that I am kind of on the right path with my interpretation. What do you dream of? What do you think your dream means? Below this post is a write up that goes with the verse in the picture above. This was sent to me by a very dear friend and loved one. It is hard for me sometimes to understand who deserves my 'good' because there have been many times that even my friend that sent me this have been undeserving in the present, but I compensate now for actions that warranted my good, in the past.

Here resides my dilemma. Do you make up for previous mistakes now-in the present, by doing good to those affected, or do you leave mistakes in the past, and move on with current problems to take care of with newer and different individuals.

In hindsight, if it is broke, should you still not fix it, if it doesn't really matter anymore? Or fix it in addition to the other broken things, even if the old thing to fix is no longer pertinent? Sorry if I've confused you, but it is a confusing subject.

Here is the write up for the bible verse, input is always welcome...don't be shy:

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. (emphasis added)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Rather than "looking out for" only "number 1," we are to look out for those deserving of good -- whether that be help, aide, praise, love, affection, attention -- and to act decisively to give them what they need and deserve. We are to be a people, as Paul tells us, who Jesus saved so we would be "eager to do good deeds" (Titus 2:14).

My Prayer...

Father, forgive me for my selfishness. I so often notice only my needs or what I think I deserve. There are so many good and deserving people you have placed in my life who have blessed me. Use your Spirit to open my eyes and my heart to see those around me whom I can bless, and give me the courage to act in ways that glorify you and are a blessing to others. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

After a very successful performance and turnout at the March 24th show in Springfield, VA. Afton Live, made the smart move of asking us to come back and perform again. Great move Afton!

It's going to be held at the very nice and acoustic Jaxx Concert Hall, located not too far from the Springfield Mall in Springfield, Virginia. I always love doing out of town shows because it's an opportunity to expand my artistry and reach a newer and more diverse fan base. It also gives the A-Squad and I a chance to check out new scenes. All-in-all....we LOVE out of town shows....

Remember it's all ages, and it's at 9pm on Friday night, so no worries about bringing the kids and having to take them to school in the morning. If you need tickets, please get them here....I hear they are almost sold out (another lovely thing to hear).

So, think about what makes you unique when it comes to your competition. Unfortunately, saying that you have a great product, service, warranty or guarantee—it’s no longer enough and in actuality it reinforces the similarities between you and your competition. So, what can you say that will make you sound different and unique that will separate you from the rest of the pack? It’s by creating your MVP, also known as your most valuable proposition.

An MVP can be either a unique product, service, feature, warranty, something unique in your customers, something unique in your staff or employees that no one else can claim or virtually no other company can claim. To trigger your creativity and develop your MVP, here’s one thing you can do: exploit the obvious. Think back on the days of Domino’s Pizza when they said, “30 minutes or less or it’s free.” Well I’m sure at that point there were lots of other pizza places that were delivering pizzas in 30 minutes or less. However, Domino’s took that concept and exploited something that was so obvious, turned it into a marketing vehicle that made them one of the most successful franchises in the world. The other day I was sitting in an airport and I looked at one of the advertisements in the airport lobby and it said, “Four out of five of the world’s largest banks run Oracle Software.” Talk about something unique that no other company can claim, that’s what I’m referring to when I say, “exploit the obvious.” So, take the time to think about what you’re currently doing that you might take for granted of. As I mentioned before, maybe you have an exclusive client list. Do you offer something like a fair price assurance where you can guarantee on delivery? How about on something that no one else can deliver? For example, one of the manufactures out there of vinyl replacement windows is a company by the name of Traco. Now, when you pick up Traco’s brochure, it has a picture of the statue of liberty’s crown. Why? Because Traco was the one that was commissioned to replace all of the windows in the head of the statue of liberty. Can anyone else claim that? No. Is it something unique and different? Absolutely. So, take some time to think about what you can offer that sounds different and unique so that when you leave a prospect or walk away from a meeting they’re going sit there saying, “Well, gee, I’ve never heard that before.”

Sometimes you gotta cut the fat in order to stay lean. Working it out just makes you sweat. This is the case with a close one. You ever had a friend, or partner or loved one, or even notion that just didn't quite 'cut the mustard?' Didn't make it to the next level. Perhaps you thought it was you, when all along it was them? And what happens....they give up on you? Or, instead, they stick around...suck the life outta you, until you tighten up your boot straps and kick them to the side street, cuz you still want to keep an eye on them.

Other times still, you want to just dissolve the connection and keep it moving, without looking back. 9 times out of 10, that's the least followed route, and probably the most important way to carry on. My advice; quell the past and move on to the next one!

I had to make a quick entry about one of my most FAVORITE things a woman can do to her hair...and that's get bangs. I don't know if it's the connotation behind the word BANG or the fact that it's subtle yet sexy ambiance is delivered by cutting away major portions of the frontal part of your hair.

Whatever it is, I have a super soft spot for a woman with bangs and a nice smile especially if she has a great attitude to match it ....

Amidst all the machismo and predominately male dominated ambiance of the world cup, comes a subtle air of savoir faire for fashion within the sport...it actually surprised me when I found out that my absolute most favorite fashion house of ALL time Louis Vuitton, had constructed the official carrying case for the World Cup trophy...amazing. Even more so amazing to me was that Naomi Campbell was chosen to unveil it and be the spokesmodel for this event. Special plug for one of the models I manage: Rea Kim whom would expand and incorporate fashion with life in such instances as the aforementioned.
